Committed to facilitating growth and development with individuals and organizations since 1981, Jim’s background includes training needs analysis, program design and delivery for virtually every aspect of organizational need. He has had one-on-one coaching contact with literally thousands of volunteers, owners, managers, directors and front-line employees.
Jim specializes in the remote delivery of one-with-one leadership development and individualized coaching, as well as virtual workshops with small groups. He has depth of experience in strategic planning, professional selling skills, and workshops for team development, improving interpersonal communication, and taking personal responsibility. Jim is a skilled facilitator and process consultant with large and small groups.
Jim lives with his wife Elizabeth in Millbrook, outside of Peterborough, Ontario, where they enjoy gardening, canoeing, their backyard croquet court and curling sheet, and building their musical repertoire.
Jim is an organizational development generalist. Early in his career, he managed a retail business consulting service, worked with young adults seeking education and careers, and helped employers set up workplace literacy programs. In the 1980’s, he initiated, owned and operated an independent small town bookstore.
Prior to becoming self-employed as an Associate of The Delfi Group in 1995, Jim was employed by the Renfrew County Industrial Training Committee to identify training needs in a dozen employment sectors, then designed and marketed learning programs, arranged for facilitators and registered learners.
Since 2001, he has specialized in leadership coaching and counselling with business owners and managers, as well as sales training, strategic planning, one-with-one coaching, and Everything DiSC workshops to build effective team communication, selling skills, emotional intelligence and conflict management.
