Susan is a seasoned HR professional with 20+ years experience specialized in Talent processes (Acquisition, Engagement, Transition, Development, Management) and Organizational Effectiveness. In various HR roles, Susan has supported change and HR Operations at GE Canada, Express Scripts, DB Schenker, the House of Commons, MD Management, and for 10+ years at the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA). At the CMPA, Susan was responsible for modernizing people policies, practices and programs that aligned with the Association’s business strategy and people strategy. Susan led a team of 8 HR professionals, who developed integrated and business-focused talent management strategies, frameworks and processes with the aim to attract, engage, and retain top talent for the organization.
Susan is a collaborative leader and coach who values building strong relationships and incorporates analytics and focus on her interactions and engagements. Using the DiSC and PXT Select assessments, she is keen to support people and organizations to become the best they can be.
Being a first generation Canadian whose parents fled eastern Europe and settled in the Toronto area, resilience and empathy are in Susan’s DNA. These days, when not pushing herself at the gym or practicing yoga, Susan can be found in Ottawa hanging out with her husband and their two sons.
