Larry brings over 40 years of operational and executive experience to Delfi Group, having made a career in human resources and organizational effectiveness management with high-tech employers in the public and private sectors. Larry served as the owner and leader of Delfi Group from 2012 through September 2021. Prior to his role as owner and leader, he gained extensive experience in both high tech and the healthcare industry. Within healthcare he held senior governance and leadership positions including CEO of a hospital. In his previous HR leadership roles, he excelled in providing exceptional service to clients and led major organizational change processes in Canada and abroad.
He is an accomplished HR Practitioner, people leader, executive, professional counselor, communicator, and facilitator. He has unique specialties in both strategic and operational planning and in matters related to employee and leader assessments, performance management, workplace investigations, dispute resolution, employment law, creative problem solving and governance.
Larry is a high-impact professional with a demonstrated track record of leadership and results in a wide variety of consulting, employment, and community roles.
Over his working career spanning 40+ years, he has taught at the post-secondary level; owned and operated a rural group home farm for troubled adolescents; worked in training, counseling, consulting, organizational development and employee/labour relations and senior Human Resource leadership roles in large multi-union research and development organizations (AECL and Nortel) both in Canada and overseas, served as the Chief Executive Officer of an Ontario Community Hospital and most recently, directed and led successful HR Consulting Practice.
